"Just being in Rebecca’s presence brings a sense of peace. She intuitively knows how to make people feel at ease and that energy carries through to her craft of massage. She takes her time and somehow relaxes not just one’s muscles and body, but also one’s soul."

Why women?

Much of my life's work has focused on women and girls, and supporting their positive development. Whether through activism, research, teaching, workshops, innovative programming, or therapeutic practice, women's well-being has been a primary focus. Creating a massage practice for women is a natural continuation of this vocation, particularly as I believe self-care is an integral part of well-being,. Whether through a peaceful walk in the woods, a cup of tea with a good book, time with dear friends, or a massage that cares for the body and nurtures the soul, self-care supports all aspects of women's lives.

Why the bird's nest?

In the fall of 2015, an experience I shared with my then 15-year-old daughter ignited a passion for birds that immediately became a focal point of my life. I began spending more and more time watching birds, and was particularly fascinated by their nests. How each was so exquisitely crafted - and perfectly suited - to protect and support first their eggs, and then their young. Birds’ nests provide safety, security, and warmth – a place of care and nurturing during a young bird's most fragile time. In naming my massage practice the bird’s nest, I seek to evoke that same feeling of sanctuary and warmth. A feeling you will experience the moment you walk through my door.
